Chris Wade is a Leeds based writer of surreal fiction and non fiction books. In his fiction he has created a new twisted world, littered with eccentrics and bizzare scenarios that go unquestioned. He started Wisdom Twins Books in 2009 to release Hugh Cornwell The Hoover Dam Companion (about the ex Stranglers' singer's solo record), and began writing and editing the free magazine Hound Dawg which featured interviews with figures of music, comedy and film. After releasing his debut fiction book Cutey and the Sofaguard in 2009, he recorded an audio version of it with comedy icon Rik Mayall, which was released in 2010. In 2011, Wade continued his fiction work with Home in a Tick, the sequel to Cutey, as well as the short audiobook You Only Live Once Thank Goodness, narrated by stand up comedian Charlie Chuck. The same year he co authored, with artist Linzi Napier (featuring a foreword by Jethro Tull frontman Ian Anderson,) The Cat Profiles, a comedic study of cat personalities which raised money for Yorkshire Cat and Kitten Rescue. As of August 2011, Wade began the free comedy/music podcast Hound Dawg Radio, which has had thousands of listens on the net. Alongside his fiction work, Wade has penned a number of non fiction titles, based on film study. In 2012, Wade released The Snatcher, a surreal audiobook read by Nightbus vocalist Hannah Melbourn, as well as his Cutey trilogy, ending with Tales from the Nanna Home, as paperbacks. He also released a book compiling all the best interviews from Hound Dawg Magazine, entitled Interview with the Hound Dawg.
